I really do not know if anyone will see this, but I would like to know if MacKeeper is a valid product or a scam -
is it dangerous to sign up and scan with this product?
Please advise - ASAP.

scam- contact them and they want a credit card to fix the system? Even if you have apple care , why would Apple make it so difficult to block the error message? once they have your number they will keep at it until you give them the money they desire, It happened again to me. the apple rep helped greatly- Mac Genius!!! helped for FREE! thats a language I like to hear!
MacKeeper is clasified as malware and is a scam...once you download it you cannot remove it...the uninstall program does not remove all of the hidden files it installs and they keep coming back to haunt you.
Avoid MacKeeper at all costs...its claims of seeing viruses, etc., on your Mac are bogus...could not do that even if it was good stuff without you installing first.
