How to "delete daemon from startup items"??

Hi Macjack. Many thanks for your post. Helped me too. Not sure why MS can't test the upgrade so it doesn't have bugs in it by the time it gets to us users. Can I delete the 'Office 2011 Identities copy' folder now as it's taking up twice the space presumably?? Many thanks in anticipation.

I'm not a tech person, so I don't know for sure. But, I waited a day to ensure everything was working properly, and then I did delete it

My GO menu doesn't allow me to enter the information anyway. Do you mean to enter it where the search box is?

I can't find my startupitems either.

Hold down the Option key when clicking Go, and then you'll see the Library there. Then follow the rest of the directions

Yes, I did. the solution worked for me and I did wait a couple of days then delete the duplicate. Fingers crossed still ok. Good luck!

hey guys can someone help me out. Im relatively new to MAC - i recieved an error message like all of you and tried to go into finder and search for "Macintosh HD/Library/StartupItems" - it came back and said no folder found?

any ideas please
