I unticked the option of automatic date & time, then set the date back to December 2009 and it's installing fine now, thanks.

YOU FREAK'N OWN !!!!! THANK YOU !!!! , i just installed a SSD and the application disc was giving me trouble. changed the date/time and now the application disc installed just fine. 🙂

Thank you all for posting helpful information on this topic. Setting the date back helped me install my applications when I reformatted my MacBook. I was able to find out this trick easily and fast by following this thread and it is much appreciated!
