I can't find the disk drive on my macbook pro. I think it was accidentally drug into a folder, but can't find it anywhere. Any idea's on how to locate this? The macbook will still play movies, but if I go to look for the drive, I can't locate it anywhere.

The optical disk drive is a piece of physical hardware that plays disks.

You'll have to give some more information, your terminologyi s all wrong for what your desciibing.

Did you insert a physical disk and then dragged it's icon into a folder, then it might have copied it into that folder, or maybe it didn't and then you ejected the disk and the icon disappered off the desktop?

Or did you drag your internal hard drive icon into a folder?

If you're talking about the optical disc drive (marketing name, "SuperDrive"), then you're wasting your time. The drive itself does not appear as an object on the desktop—only the CD or DVD you insert in it does.

If you're talking about the hard disk, check Finder's preferences.
