Macbook Pro 15" , CPU temperature till 60 - 82. Celsius while playing World Of Warcraft
Hi, I am using
Late 2011 Macbook Pro 15"
Intel i7 2.4 Ghz (Quad Core) ( Turbo Boost 2.0 )
Intel HD graphics - 384 MB and AMD Raedon HD graphics - 1024 MB
My normal CPU temperature is 38 to 45 Celcius.
Before playing World Of Warcraft I switch my graphics to AMD Raedon HD 6770.
When I play the game, the temperature slowly rises.
It goes to 60. C then 70 and then reaches 80. Celcius.
I don't use smcFancontrol since I don't want to take risk of reducing the fan's life.
I use iStat which shows the temperature.
Sometimes the fan rpm goes till 3000 to 5000. When the rpm reaches 5000+ it starts making a windy sound. ( This also happens when I play Fifa 12 )
I am worried about this. Is this normal ?
Till what temperature the macbook has no harm ? Should I buy a cooling pad for macbook ?
And is it safe to play a game while charing the macbook with the Magsafe adapter ?Please help me. 🙂
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
