I've been using Sal's Teachers Helpers scripts for a couple of years

it looks like those are hosted on macosxautomation's website. have you contacted them asking about any updates? They would be the most knowledgable i would think. At least they would know the originator posibly and be able to pass on the issue, asking for an updated set.
