New iTunes security questions

Hello,

iTunes is now asking me to fill in 3 security questions: http://s19.postimage.org/5jz0q6pr7/apple_sec_ques.jpg

1. How can i still use iTunes store and NOT use these security questions?

Why would i not want to use them? Well, i prefer to use a password only i know, not use insecurity questions like "whats your first car?" It's not hard for a whole bunch of people to know that one. Setting these insecurity questions is just giving anyone that vaguely knows me free and easy assess to my account. I DO NOT WANT THAT!

2. How do i make iTunes stop asking my account password every time i want to play songs, download something, or do basically anything in iTunes? It's really irritating to have to put in my password 50 times a week (and nobody else uses this computer.)

Welcome to the **** that is iTunes / Apple.

Instead of acting like any other big corp and sorting out security problems on their own time they pass the pain in the *** to the iTunes / Apple community. Do they seriously expect me to take time out of my own life to wait on a call when it's their problem?

****, what's the point of an Apple password? Is it like a greeting card?

Taking my dollars someplace else. Adios Apple!!

its not very easy for me to rember the answers of these security questions. because i cannot remember for sure if i determined the first or the last name of for a certain person asked for.

identical answers are not accepted for all quesions are not accepted; and the trick to append nunbers does not work either because the questions are posed in different chronological orders.

So it isvery tricky to find rememberable answers without writing them down somewhere.. which is also a hole in security.

Apple did this to force people to take the easy way out and buy the new touch id products. If I paid for my product why can't I manage the security as I see fit ? My money spent ,my product and my loss if any thing happens.thats the point of it being mines, I should be able to customize it the way that I want when it comes to security questions and etc.

jeeeeeez people. i've never seen such paranoid, self-righteous ramblings from people unable to set up basic security questions. this is pretty standard stuff people. if you don't remember answers, you can find a way to write them down securely.

i can see you're all very frustrated and butthurt, but if you can't manage to set up a secure account, then i'm not sure you should have an account to start with.

you're probably the same people who flip out when someone hacks into your account and locks you out because it doesn't have these security questions.

take a deep breath and try to join the 21st century. btw, if you use touch id, you still need to set up security answers.

good luck to you lost souls.

Funny you call people 'butthurt' when you must be brainhurt if you think writing your answers down is any form of security.

And "...the same people who flip out when someone hacks into your account and locks you out..."??? That's doubtful. To whom does this happen? I have never had any security problems of any kind, and neither have most other people. One question (such as mother's maiden name) is enough security. Apple's 3 questions is overkill and the don't even offer the most easily remembered one as an option.

And I cannot believe people are dumb enough to let one of these sites keep and store their credit card numbers. Talk about asking for trouble. Hacking my bank account is the only way they're getting mine.

Well, if it happened you should learn to be more careful with your password. Writing it down is not a good idea. Neither is writing down your security answers. The security questions are no good if they are not something a person can recall fromm memory when needed. You may have a favorite car or teacher or movie or whatever, but many people do not. I just don't think that way. I could not find a question in the dropdown that would be anything I could remember the answer too, so I just made stuff up. Some security.

I just feel that it is silly for people to blame a company for their own lack of ability to remember things they put in. Pretty much every major account one can get on the internet these days uses security questions so it's not as if apple is using or doing something that is that bizarre. It gives you the options to pick one of many, many questions. True some might not be applicable, but they are basically backup password with hints allready attached. If you just "make stuff up" and then promptly forgot what you put, how is that apples fault?

"Pretty much every major account one can get on the internet these days uses security questions"

I have many accounts in the internet.. and only some have security questions.. but only one..

And iam just not able to answer all this questions always as i set them up because sometimes names are too long and one has to remember how they were set up (First name or last name, Nickname and so on... speeling period komma .. and so on..) So one must write them down in case of emergency.. which again is not secure)

An if all my accounts

had 5 security questions i would get crazy...

Well we have 4 Apple accounts in my family an we all set up these questions.. luckily we have not been asked for them yet.(or only once)🙂
