New iTunes security questions

Hello,

iTunes is now asking me to fill in 3 security questions: http://s19.postimage.org/5jz0q6pr7/apple_sec_ques.jpg

1. How can i still use iTunes store and NOT use these security questions?

Why would i not want to use them? Well, i prefer to use a password only i know, not use insecurity questions like "whats your first car?" It's not hard for a whole bunch of people to know that one. Setting these insecurity questions is just giving anyone that vaguely knows me free and easy assess to my account. I DO NOT WANT THAT!

2. How do i make iTunes stop asking my account password every time i want to play songs, download something, or do basically anything in iTunes? It's really irritating to have to put in my password 50 times a week (and nobody else uses this computer.)

I have really never seen such a large collection of whining children. Seriously, if you are too friggen stupid and unprepared in your life to remember your OWN ANSWERS that YOU set then you don't deserve to own a complicated piece of technology in the first place. When you sign up for an apple id, you agree to ALL of this stuff, it is no ones fault but your own if you dont remember them or dont bother to read what it is you are signing up for. f you are truly too incompetent to handle such a basic task then stop buying apple products in the first place! SIMPLE SOLUTION

You know what happened before the security questions? Peoples accounts got hacked and broken into and all of the things they owned on thier account, and everything they would have stored in icloud including tax information and other important things that were uploaded got stolen by other people. If having three simple responses prevents that, than it's a definite good business choice. Apple would rather have the questions and make thier customers safe because of it, then not have it and get sued again by people just like you becuase of the security not being strong enough. Apple is NOT going to change a policy that protects them and thier customers just because the apparently technologically ignorant 5% of the customer base that somehow scraped up enough cash to buy an apple product doesn't understand the concept of remember something you type in and are told to save! Even more than that, apple GIVES you the ability to reset your security questions yourself if you add a rescue email like you are supposed to. Even failing that you can call apple and they will help you reset them.

Long story short, apple isnt going to change the policies on security questions. Get used to it, or stop buying apple products!

Actually Alfi ( I was just being sarcastically funny, its my sense of humor not eveybody appreciates it)

I posted here a year ago because after setting my answers and entering them correctly for several days iTunes just could not connect.

It is amazing how many people are complaining about the questions and not the real issue which is hey Apple got hacked and they needed to do something. As lame as the questions are I cant for the life of me understand why people can't just make somthing up and move on. Get a Password Manager, increase your security and forget about remembering any password ever again.....save for one to your Password Manager and for some that may be difficult, i guess.

There are much bigger things that Apple needs to address than these stupid security questions.

This is ridiculous! I can't buy stuff from iTunes because apple is asking me two stupid security questions I haven't got a clue as to what the answer is! I can see my balance, I can login with my password, and I can reset my password via email, but there's no way I can see what the answer is supposed to be or change them!! So p*ssed off! I had to get the song from elsewhere because iTunes wouldn't let me buy them.

Hi,

Try this:

- Go to this page: https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action

- Click iTunes and then iTunes Store

- Next, click password and security questions.

- Click Forgotten apple id security questions

- Then it directs you to a page where you can contact apple now, arrange an appointment or call back later.

Contact apple now tells you how long the wait will be if you decide to call. Mine said less than two minutes so I submitted my number and someone called me straight away.

Then the person I talked to asked for my appleid and name to verify who I was, then asked me to login to manage appleid account and he double checked with me that I didn't know the answers. Then it was just a matter of telling him the temporary pin (button on the page) and I could change my questions and answers. I didn't have to verify my serial number for an apple device or a credit card number. Whole thing took less than 10 minutes.

Hope this helps.
