New Security Questions

I was trying to make a few purchases from iTunes but was redirected to a page requesting that I set up security questions. I have no interest in making up fake answers to questions that I won't remember later on or in providing any real data about myself. If this is indeed being required by Apple and is not some type of malware attack how long before we can find a workaround so I can make my purchases?

Rather than jump through hoops I just bought the music from Amazon. I still need to find a solution before the next time I buy apps though.

It seems like Apple is seriously trying to scare me off as a customer. They give me terrible customer support continuously in the past few months (mainly at its flagship Regent Street store). And now they force me to answer these ridiculous questions (most of which don't have an actual answer, who has a car in London?), giving easy access to anyone who knows me. Why an't I skip this step? I just want to et a new app. Please Apple get off my back and start to at least try to be nice! Why would I ever by any Apple products in the future?

What a "Gong Show" this has become. Apple has definitely ticked off many of us who have been so loyal for many, many years.

This is the stupidest thing Apple has ever done and I am sure the "potential" revenues are very down.

Hope all keep posting their displeasure with this stupid, silly, annoying and time consuming process.

This is just good security. It protects your credit card. The questions are not supposed to make sense and neither are the answers. It is designed so that you cannot be hacked. Write the questions and answers down, store them someplace, and sleep good at night knowing your doors are locked and the alarm is on.

Just roll with it for your own protection.

One question not enough? That's funny, it's enough for my on-line accounts with my bank, my mortgage company, utilities, credit card companies, retirement accounts, etc, etc.

I have never heard of anyone asking for three security questions and a second back-up email address. .

But I guess i am barking up the wrong tree with you... it is obvious that Apple can do no wrong in your eyes. I just hope they're paying you or something.

To those who say "roll with it" or "this is too petty to get so upset over", please go back to school and learn how to read.

The problem for most of us over 40 is this.

WE CAN"T ANSWER THE QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

Therefore, if we give answers that are guesses,

WE WOULDN"T REMEMBER THEM WHEN NEEDED IN THE FUTURE

and

WE MAY LOSE ACCESS TO OUR ACCOUNTS.

Losing access to your account may be petty to you, it isn't petty to me!

Your complaints here in the community are not heard by Apple staff! To get a resolution we all want we all need to make our complaints via feedback http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

I had made a complaint to the staff desk and this is what they told me we needed to do!

Again, Your complaints here in the community are not heard by Apple staff and nothing will get fixed unless you hit them up in the feedback.
