ipad, water question :D

So last night i was taking 2 liter bottle of rum to my friend which i put in my backpack with my ipad as well.... some *%$@# hit me and i fell on the floor, i heard the bottle smash real bad considering it was glass.... right away i took off my shirt and dried all i could see on my ipad....

but before the night ended i was up thinking on what to do....

i would turn the ipad off but2-20 minutes later it'll just back on for some reason.... i tried the freezer thing but also the sun since im in florida....


please try an help me out....

Given the high level of sugar in the rum you would need to disassemble the iPad, flush it with distilled water, let the entire assembly dry for 4 - 5 days in a cool, dry place, reassemble it, charge it, reset it and hope that it works.


You would have a much better shot doing an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple.


Have no idea what the "freezer" thing is, hope that did not mean putting the iPad in the freezer as that would add even more moisture while putting it in the sun in Florida (especially right after the freezer) would ensure more condensation and then overheat the device.
