Hello, I am trying to verify my new apple id. I have ensured that my email address is correct, and have gotten the notification, both from the Ipad and from a desktop that a verification email has been sent. But I have never received one. I would really like to be able to utilize this for work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I also had not been received my verification email, until I realized that all emails from apple.com had been blocked for my yahoo mail, because apple.com is included as one of the blocked settings. Verification mail from apple is received as soon as I removed the apple.com under the blocked address setting.

I was having this same issue with my new iPhone 6 and my laptop. I could not get my Gmail to verify through iMessage.
Here's all you need to do: Log into "Manage my Apple ID" www.appleid.apple.com via your browser.
You should see your Unverified email(s) on the list below your verified one(s). ,
Deleted the unverified and added it/them again. They should now show up already verified.
Then quit iMessage on all your computers and devices and reopen it.
