I can't open my address book. Whe I click on it and the menu bar on the top changes to address book but nothing shows on my screen. If I right click and choose "show all windows" then it appears but disappears when I try to click on it to use it. Any ideas how I could fix this? I have tried shutting down and restarting my computer.

Hi Glenn I have tried to restore from my TM backup but it says it can't complete the operation because the file ubiquity is in use. Any ideas?
Not sure which portion you're trying to restore. I'm not a TM expert. But if you're restoring your home folder or the Library portion of it, then you will need to log into another account to do so.
Be sure that account has administration priviledges.
