Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Apple's support document doesn't list iMac intel (2008) 2.66GHz 20 inch as supporting 64 bit. Is this correct or has anyone had success? Why is it a 64 bit processor won't support it?
I have a OEM which is sealed. I do not want to open it until I am sure it will work.

Well according to Apple it's "unsupported" from them, it's not necessarily impossible, if you do a Yahoo/Google search there are people that do get some models to work. If you search these forums you may find a link or two to other sites showing you how.🙂

Swapped the 64-bit version for a 32-bit version which the retailer thankfully was happy to do. 32-bit version worked fine after a few minor install issues.
