MacMini Printing Problems

Hello:

Using an HP Photosmart Premium 410a with MacMini (Snow Leopard). We use both Firefox 11.0 and Safari 5.1.5. Browsers When we print multiple pages from an article, the first pages prints out (and shows in Preview) a smaller size font then the rest of the pages from the same article. We have tried various tests (resetting the printer, reinstalling the latest HP software, reinstalling each of the browsers, running Permissions),

but so far, this problem continues to occur. We have also used both a USB and a Network connection.

This has only been occuring when we print articles directly from various web article pages (PDF files print fine as do other printed items that are downloaded)

Any input on this greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I tried another experiment.

I took one of the DT Bookmarks went to Info and changed it from the @ to the Safari logo - it still did

open to the FF Start Page.

But, now I think it's strange that I can change an @ bookmark to a Safari bookmark, but I have not been able to change it to a FF logo bookmark.

Could all this have something to do with FF being a cross-platform browser and Safari being a made for

Mac browser?

Here's another experiment I just did.

I switched the default browser from FF to Safari, and now the DT Bookmarks/Icon do go to there

corresponding web page. The wierd thing about this is, these DT Bookmark/Icons were draged

from URL sites in FF - but, there opening in Safari & not FF.

What the devil is going on here ??? - Is there an Icon to show - frustration!! ??

Experimant (new account) It worked, but I'm not sure why!

1) I created a new account with administrator privliges.

2) I downloaded FF 12.0 to the new account (I did not make any profiles).

3) I opened FF and entered BBC News as the Start/Home page.

4) I went to a random web site and draged the URL to the Desktop.

5) With FF closed, I opened the Desktop Bookmark/Icon/Shortcut, I DID get the corresponding web page.

6) I then made sure all was closed and opened FF again, and got BBC News (the Start/Home page)

Now, that I find this working correctly in this new account (which I made just for this test), I am guessing that the problem must have somthing to do with our regular account. So, now rather to find the problem in our regular account, is there a method of transfering our files from our regular

account to a new account?
