Yellow-ish Tint On Screen

I'm trying to breathe some new life back into my Blueberry G3 iBook running Mac OS X 10.2.8. This was a great little machine that I bought as new back in 2000. Initially everything was fine, but over the course of about 4 years various things started to go wrong.

Just before I originally upgraded the system from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X the colour of the iBook screen started to change, to display what I can only decribe as a yellow-ish tint. At first the change in screen colour was subtle, but then it became more obvious. For me, the strange thing about this discolouration is that it is appears to be more intense on the left side of the screen and fades towards the right side of the screen.

I've tried resetting the PMU and the PRAM, altering the colour calibration settings, but so far nothing has worked. Has anyone come across anything similar? All thoughts, help or advice would be gratefully received.

Have you tried ScreenCleanerPro from Ambrosia Software?

I don't know how well it works on old LCD screens but it made a noticeable improvement on my iMac crt. It's free so perhaps there'd be no harm in trying, anyway.

Okay, it's just an April Fool's Joke. But the first time I tried it I really thought it did something.
