Can you walk us through what happens when you try to connect to the Store in some more detail, please?

I also cannot upgrade or download anything from the app store. I get the same error. It doesn't matter what connection I use, my phone's network, wifi, all are affected.

Same thing... Tried ipad, iphone, and apple TV, all over wifi. I can browse the store, buy something, and after that it's just waiting... After a long time I get either Itunes Store not responding or Cannot connect to iTunes Store.

try these steps if you are on a pc

-go to start>all programs>accessories and you should see a command prompt

-right click on command prompt and choose run as administrator

-in the command prompt page enter this info (without quotes) "netsh winsock reset" then hit enter

-after that you should get a message saying windows has successfully reset the winsock catalog then restart your computer

if these steps do not work then you may want to follow this article

Unfortunately I cannot download from the iTunes store from any device I own PC, iPad or iPhone. I tried the previously mentioned resolution to no avail. This definitely has to do with the NEW security measures Apple has put into place. They need to fix this or return to the old method!!!!!!

I RDPed to my computer at work which is able to utilize the entire 100mpbs network connection because everyone is gone.  Did a 3GB download in 4 minutes...so the connection there is great.

I tried to download a song there in my iTunes account using the mose recent version of iTunes....and it still failed stating I had lost connection to the network....LMAO!!  I know that is BS because I was online at that same time and have 2 internet POP's to utilize for redundancy and I work in IT as a Sys/Net Admin so I know we are not having connectivity issues...this is an Apple issue.

Can't access my purchases on my Mac, iPad or Apple TV now. Whatever Apple changed, they better fix it fast. This is garbage. I can't access my purchases or purchase/rent new content despite being logged in. Good job, Apple.

This seems to be wide spread.  Perhaps I will notify some media outlets, they seem to have better connections with Apple and may be able to get answers quicker, such as Yahoo!, Google!, MSN!...etc.

Same problem with me last night and all day today.  Why hasn't Apple reported or responded to this problem?
