You must have missed this before:
It's a shame that so many people like to whine.
You don't like Apple's desire to prevent others from using your credit card? Shop elsewhere.
By the way, consider your screen name while reading this.
No, I didn't miss it. You just didn't read - as usual. But as a five year old bully what else can you expect.
Just try and add some constructive discussion rather than the single chestnot you seem to have - Go and buy something else".
Really that helps everyone!
So insightful.
Such magnificent intellect that just leaves us all thinking you should be up for a noble prize! Wow.
Apple, must be really happy you tell everyone to buy another product rather than offer some constructive help.
Your a real winner!!
Go whine someplace else. You're getting very tiring.
And the giant intellect is back again with some more pearls of wisdom offering such insights into the issue for ALL customers of Apple.
Another winning insightful comment for all to be amazed at.
Is another, a second noble prize in order for this intellect?
What other insights can we get from this oracle of the apple products.
We are all on the edge of our seats waiting for your brain to offer such fantastic advice that will solve all our problems.
Mybe it will be the prize for world peace next.
It is for me. I just clicked the "forgot password" link from iTunes and the option to email my password is there. If they are changing that policy then I have every right to complain since I bought the product before that was required.
It is clear that you are an angry individual who just wants to argue with everyone on here who is critical of Apple. You just spout incorrect things and as soon as some challenges you on it you just change the subject to "live with it or buy a different product." And you know what, that is a great policy for the blind follower that you are but please leave the intelligent people to discuss topics important to us.
Have a nice day!
Since you are obviously so much more intelligent than others here, I'm sure you must know that it's a NOBEL prize....not a noble prize. Oh....you didn't know that?
Thank you for pointing that out and yes I did know that. Clearly I cannot be perfect all the time and need to check my spelling and must be stoned thus...
No I have never said that I am more intelligent but rather have asked for an intelligent discussion. There is a significant difference!
Maybe you should re-read my posts before you cast your next stone.
The issue is around the new secuirty measure and if is the best way to increase security.
Do you have an opinion on this or are you here also just to throw stones and just be critical of other people having an opinion on this issue and not actually have an opinion yourself?
Do not assume that because I don't state it here that I do not have an opinion. That would be wrong of you.
Well lets hear it in detail then. If you want to criticize someone for having an opinion then it would be nice to hear what your counter opinion is, otherwise we can only assume you have none.
Spit it out. Tell us in detail what you think and how you feel we will be more secure or less secure under this new policy!
As you often recommend here, I suggest YOU re-read my original post to you. I was not criticizing you for having an opinion. I found irony that you were calling other posters intellect into question when you referred to "the prize" as the Noble Prize. I don't owe you any opinion at all.
But that is why you miss the point altogether.
What is the point of these Apple forums?
What is the thread about?
What were my posts about?
What was my dispute with another reader about?
1. The thread is about the new security policy.
2. My posts were my opinion on this security policy.
3. My dispute was that the other writer was critical and did not provide a point of discussionand was more intent on simply being negative and nasty, not just to me but too others who raised the issue as well.
The whole point of the forum is provide help.
Yes I made a mistake and more than happy to admit it but going back to the issue again you decided to cast a stone even if it was just be be critical of my spelling in a forum about a security issue. If your not going to add to the debate and the discussion of the thread, is there really a reason to be nasty and critical? No.
A more positive response might have been to have politely point out the issue with the spelling and then actually add some value to the discussion. Instead you wrote a negative post and also contributed nothing to the overall discussion.
Unfortunately after reading some of the other threads on this forum it is a very nasty crowd and your post is very common and its a shame that a company such as Apple has stood by and let the forum become such a negative place rather than customers having a positive experience to solve their problems with the product and software. It is a poor reflection on the company Apple and a poor reflection on the Apple brand.
So in reply to your post and also addressing my first question - my issue is that people here are very quick to kick others when they are down, stick the knife in and hide behind their computer and simply abuse people rather than offer assistance, discussion or support.
However, the forum is meant to be about getting help and raising issues.
It would be better if people genuinely tried to help others or provide some insightful discussion rather than all just be as negative as possible. Maybe I am the one that is naive to have gone to a forum hosted by apple to raise my concerns with the hope that I might get someone to listen to my concerns. I guess if we can't even raise issues without being ridiculed our society has become a very poor reflection on us and how far we haven't progressed despite now having all these shiny new technologial products.
Has technology really made us better people or worse! This community would appear to suggest the later.
It is unfortunate that it's difficult enforcing the policy about children posting on the forum. If it were different, we wouldn't have to put up with the trolls.
This is really tough on us old folks. the car is easy - maybe a DeSoto (or was it a Reo?). Now, the teachers are tough. Who remembers teachers from 60 years ago? Concerts? Albums? It's all a blur! I have always thought that Internet companies have too many employees that need to justify a paycheck. How else do you explain all the nonsense they come up with?
This is a total deal breaker for me, I'm not going to use apple anymore unless they remove these security questions or at least make them optional.

You'll be missed. Goodbye.
