I've changed my email address and now my iPhone will not sync with iCloud. It remembers my old email and does not give me the option to type in my new address. It's grayed out. I've deleted the old account from my iPhone and everywhere else I can find...

This is my same issue. Did you ever resolve the problem?

Yes.

Delete your iCloud account then add it back with updated AppleID.

In order to delet the account I am asked the password for the account that is in no longer in use.

You created a new AppleID 😟 or you updated a previous AppleID 🙂?

All of these posts have been very helpful EXCEPT I didn't realize this was an issue until a friend tried to show me yesterday how to use the air touch feature. When I go I go to delete the iCloud account off of my phone I need my old password. I haven't used this email account in least a year. I have no clue what the password is! I have tried every conceivable password I've ever used and it doesn't work. What should I do now????

What is "air touch" feature?

Reset your AppleID to the old AppleID. It will still use your current password (unless you also reset it the password).

Do not send the verification email.

Go to Settings > iCoud and delete the account.

Then reset your AppleID to your current address.

Then Settings > iCloud and add using the current AppleID.

Hi people! When i try to do this, the phone ask if i want to delete contacts and calendars or keep on my phone. I want to keep. I dont want to delete contacts and calendars on my phone. But if i want to keep it wants the Apple-ID for the old email that is. And then im back to where i started. Or have i missed something?
