This is not posible, to pay so much for a product that its defective, they know it and nobody is doing something seroius about it. I have 2 ipads at home, 1st and 3rd generation and 2 iphone 4, I do not have any complaing with the wifi on the others except the last ipad. The signal just popos out, log off and them ask me the wifi key again and sometime I have to put it more tham 10 times to finnaly get conectet. I cant used the ipad while in the bathroom like I did with the ipad 1, i dosent get the wifi signal, Im very frustreted with this device, they shoudnt put on the market with so many flaws. Im solooo angry with this apple people!!!!! Ist not fair ti pay so much for an unpleaseant experiance, now i cant read the peaper while in bathroom or in places in my house where i do can with iphone or ipad 1..... They are robbing people, they need to inform about this.

I will trade this ipad 3 for an ipad 2 if i had the chance, im really angry....

Yeah this is just a way to get money out of our pockets by apple I have the same problem with the wifi and have to restart the pad to get connected. When I visited an apple store and asked a apple employee about the wifi and overheating problem he refused to aknowledge that the was anything like that and it seemed as if they are trained to mislead customers. Apple has started to decline and the goods days for them our history now

I very much agree with you about Apple. With these latest, serious problems, I have become very frustrated with the Apple apologists on this board. I had the exact same experience at the Apple Store that you did. Apple has ALWAYS been overly secretive and controlling, but with unacknowledged problems like this, and no quick repairs, they will not be so prized for much longer.

Not being funny but why should you have to change your whole network configuration to get a mobile device to work properly. Surely this device considering the cost should be able to connect faultlessly to any network. Or are we expected to go into offices and coffee shops and ask them to reconfigure their networks. I was considering buying an Ipad 3 but after reading all the problems that are still occuring i don't think i will bother.

Yeah, they know about the WiFi issue on the iPad3. I said mine has connectivity issue when I turn it landscape and hold it. The guy immediately exchanged it. Tested it in the store and same thing again. I asked to test another. The manager came over and said "Maybe the iPad is not for you."

Correct arrogant ******* - a $600 tablet that doesn't connect to a WiFi in landscape mode is NOT for me.

Got my money back - GalaxyTab from Samsung.

Video of how to test your defective iPad3 here: The app is called SpeedTest.net

Hi fellas!

I have read all these post months ago about the wifi problem, this made me hesitate to buy one back then. Then I talked to one of the sales associate and he told me that he never received any iPad that had any problem with the Wi-Fi

So I decided to go for it and I bought one. I have it since march and I have not had any problem at all!

As other people said here before, if you think you have a defected item just bring it back to the apple store!!!

Lenny's report "Then I talked to one of the sales associate and he told me that he never received any iPad that had any problem with the Wi-Fi" is one of the things that completely frustrates me about Apple. It is absolutely impossible that the sales associate was telling the truth. Apple treats its customers like we live in a Totalitarian Apple State: if they say it doesn't exist, it doesn't exist. Everytime I talk to a "genuis" who says he's never heard of the problem, I take them to the public/online complaint board right here. I bet they forget about it within minutes.
