I have recently downloaded some episodes of one my favorite TV shows but I can't play them properly. The audio and video are way out of sync, the audio keeps going off(I have to pause and play again to get it back), and the video is very lagged.
Is there some codec or something that I need. Does anyone know what the problem is?
I have Windows 7 in case that's important.

Repair your QuickTime.
Control Panel > Programs n Features > highlight Quicktime and click CHANGE then REPAIR
I assume you mean to imply that Quick time and Itunes are connected because I am talking about itunes.

OK so the first article does not apply, I have sound it just turns off here and there and comes back when I pause and replay.
I tried to look at my settings with the instructions in the second article, my screen resolution is NOT the problem. It wants it at the highest setting and mine is already there.
I may know the problem though. There is a button in my control panel labled Quick Time(32-bit), which by the way I opened once and it stopped responding and now it won't open again but anyway I am pretty sure my computer is 62-bit. Could that be it? How to I fix this?
There is no 64bit QuickTime at this time. The current version is compatible to 64bit Windows.
Can you go to Control Panel to do the same repair for iTunes as well?

Are you using Realtek High Definition Audio? If so, please set it to 16bit 96000Hz(stereo quality) instead of 24bit192000Hz (studio quality).!
You're going to need to elaborate, what is that? How do I check?

Under Playback tab, highlight each device and click Properties button
Go to Advanced tab and change Sample Rate to 16bit 48000hz (DVD Quality) or 96000hz (Studio Quality), OK n OK.
OK there is improvement now, that was greatly helpful for the sound but the video is still a bit lagged although that too has improved since I made this thread.
Do you have WIFI sync turned on? IF so, uncheck wifi sunc box and click APPLY on the lower right window, then test again.
