I'm making an epub and unfortunatly that means inline images. The thing is i want the images to go right to the very edge of the pages and nto have like a 2cm gap from all the edges. I have tried moving the margins however thhe image still remains firmly in the center of the page. Can I change this as it is really annoying me? Thanks 🙂.

This is my ePub in Calibre (not the best but all I've got).
The tiny hairline of white above the image is not there if you just color the imagebox background, so it is probably a bug in Pages positioning of bitmaps in masks.

I did only have it at the bottom of the page. I will try once more and the export to Pdf which I din't do as I though the ePub docs didn't use that format.
Just looked at it and it isn't just a thin line. It is about 8 mm we are talking about. The image will not stretch beyond 28,83 cm
Sure it is not choosing a US letter size?

Do you have headers and footers turned off?

Yes, yes yes. I got the doc as A4 and header and footer zeroed and turned off. Read earlier postings. I will send you the image.See if you can make it work
HEUREKA!!! I found the problems solution. It is the default wrap playing games. When I set Wrap to none I could fill the page!!!!!!

Ive since discovered that the standard output from pages as EPUB loses some of its formatting (and the front cover image) when loaded directly into a Kobo reader - I have had to run the Pages EPUB file through Calibre to get a fully KOBO compliant EPUB file. The Pages EPUBs work beautifully on iBooks / iPad though. The irony is that iBooks on ipad is a much more proficient and elegant EPUB reader than a dedicated device shuch as the KOBO. Ill be doing a conversion to MOBI next to test on a KINDLE.

Personally, I think that this is all really complicated.
Over, around, under, and through, I say.
Instead of going through all of this, simply design your book cover with a white background in mind, as well as the size of the content.
Done!

Of course if you are working with a cover design (or a client) that demands no white space, then unfortunatley the hoops have to be jumped through...
