To transfer iPhone photos to Mac, there are many ways. I found a post about two ways to move iphone photos to Mac. One is using iPhoto, the other is through wifi.

Using OS X 10.10.1 I tried connecting using a cable via the USB port and see different scenarios using iTunes, Finder, Apple forums, and Apple support as described below. All unsuccessful. This SHOULD be so intuitive and easy.
ITUNES - iTunes launches and offers to sync, but...it's completely ambiguous which way the sync will go, plus when I actually select 'sync' nothing seems to happen
FINDER - expecting the connected device to show up as a disk drive in Finder, it does not
APPLE SUPPORT FORUMS - I tried looking online - the help topics all seem to refer to obsolete stuff, like iPhoto
APPLE SUPPORT - I tried going to support - apparently I'm no longer eligible for free support
Sorry but this isn't working for me. I can't find "image transfert", and "Photos" doesn't see my iphone. Why are Apple products so difficult to use?
