iCal sends from iPhone4 BUT.

I have an iPhone4 and using iCloud for everything except mail. When I add to my calender on the phone it sends and IS received by iPad and IMac but does not receive from either. Settings are the same. Any ideas how to fix this issue?

So, when I set an appointment or make changes, I ignore the check - on my mac - and select icloud and it will work? I just tried that and it was FINE. Didn't realize I had to choose the mailbox.

You shouldn't have to keep changing that setting. I was merely checking to see if your iCloud account was available as a calendar, obviously it is. What you need to do so that your calendar chooses your iCloud account by default, is to set your iCloud account as the default account for calendar. You can do this by navigating to settings > mail, contacts, calendars, scrolling down to the calendars section and choosing your iCloud calendar as your default calendar.

When I do that the iCloud calender is not an option.

That is rather strange in that case, and if it is the case I don't know what to suggest next. Have you turned up of calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarted your phone and then turned it back on again.
