Screen scrolls by itself

I have a new 27" IMac with all updates installed. I use Track pad and wireless keyboard and wireless number pad. No Blurtooth in the house . Bluetooth boards replaced. Nearest neighbor is several thousand feet away and not home during the day. When using Sarafi the screen will rapidly scroll to the bottom and stay there. It might be anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes until I am able to scroll back to the top of the page. During this time I can't get any of the bookmark folders to stay open although if I do not take my finger off the track pad I can hold it open. Some times I have to reboot Safari to reset the page. This happens on an intermittant basis and it may be days between occurences,

Is this a know bug in either bluetoopth, Safari, or the OS?

Genius Bar at the store says its interference but I can't find any.

I had the same issue. In my case it was a rogue Logitech wireless mouse that caused the problem.

I have this issue, or something similar, intermittently and Keyboard Viewer verifies that no keys are pressed. In fact, the scrolling persists if the keyboard or mouse are unplugged- both are wired. And the scrolling is opposite to the space bar, up, not down, in all applications and the finder. Restarting fixes it temporarily.
