For a few days now, every time I try to download a FREE app I get asked all my CC info and it asks me if I am sure I wanna purchase that item.
Has anyone had the same issue? How can I solve this?
I gave all my CC info when I first made my Apple ID and until now I had no problems downloading free or payed items.

Are you sure the app is free?
Usually they ask for your Apple ID, you will need that to download an app. You shouldn't need your credit card number.
Can you upload a screenshot?
For a standard account iTunes requires a valid payment method even for free apps. Log into your account and review the payment method. If problems contact iTunes
Just tap the details in, they won't charge you if the app is free originally. hope this helps! don't forget the feedback!
This is not true. You are required a billing address but not a credit card number.
Yes, I am sure it is a FREE app. In fact, when it first happened I even tryed to download a Facebook app again, because I know for sure it's free, but I had the same problem.
After I got asked for my Apple ID and password it all continued as if I had to pay for it.
I could upload a screenshot, but I use it in Portuguese, so I am not sure if it would be helpfull.

What I mean is.. I already downloaded free apps and payed ones, so I know the drill. They have my billing adress and my CC information from other purchases, but for some reason AppStore is trying to charge me for FREE apps now!
And yur source is? Mine is the experience on this forum. You can create a new new account w/o a CC that is only good for apps by following these instructions.

Because I download apps all the time without having any credit card information. I know this because otherwise people on my account would have taken advantage of the "free money".
After I put in my appleID and my password I get "Before making a purchase, you have to tap Continue to start the session and verify your CC information" or somenthing like that.
As I said, you need a valid payment method even for free apps.
I already have a valid payment method, I always had. But now they want me to choose how to pay Visa/Mastercard/Mastercar/AMEX/None... That is not ok, right?
This is not a common step to make a FREE download!
