I have an 08 iMac 10.6.8 BC 3.0.4 and I was running win xp for years on it my HD became corrupt so I uninstalled it now I can not install it say only win 7. I am completely at a loss here???

How did you get the WinXP drivers installed previously? You can do exactly the same with the method of Windows installation I gave you.
Call and Apple can supply replacement OEM disc your Mac came with which even 10.5.x would be fine, or buy 10.6.3 if you need it but those are 3.04 and XP well, it's dead, no support, security nightmare and more.
I had installed it on the Mac when I had leopard and used the disk. I removed the Win OS upgraded to SL and this was about a year ago now I am a this point which got us here today. Keep in mind the leopard disk is the one that was damaged and gone. The reason for me not upgrading to lion in the first place for free was to keep compatablity now some how it is not working. lol FML

Well you will need a physical disk to install the correct WinXP driver. The only version of BC that doesn't require a disk is 4.0 it allows you to download them. Unfortunately your only option is to by the SL disk.
I can get it for free... Looks like apple did a great job slamming the door on this one. If I have to do all this I will just go to my eamil not and upgrade to lion with the link from work and see if I can get a deal on win 7 or a free copy. I wanted to know if there was a way and there is not, one thing we learned its that its not BC 4.0 nor lion but something else because I have 3.0.4 and 10.6.8 so interesting to say the least.
