Finder keeps crashing randomly

For some reason, Finder has been crashing randomly for one week.

Every five minutes or so, Finder closes for 10 seconds, and reopens again. Every time, I get a lot of error reports in Console:

(this is all in the same second)

01/05/2012 19:13:02.164 Finder: ISGetIconFamilyFromStorage: seed mismatch for 22630019, actual seed is 62bbd95a

01/05/2012 19:13:02.165 Finder: ISGetIconFamilyFromStorage: seed mismatch for 2233001a, actual seed is 436c6125

01/05/2012 19:13:02.165 Finder: _GetISImageRefFromIconRefInternal: could not retain image ref 0x27b70021 (err=-2580)

Each of these appears about 20 times with random numbers. I've tried deleting com.apple.finder.plist and quitting Finder, but it keeps happening.

Any help?

In my case, same problem... it was Google Drive causing the problem (for me, anyhow). Figures. Google... bah.

Followed the complete uninstall steps:

  1. Go to Google Drive menu bar icon, choose Preferences, and unlink Google Drive from my account.
  2. Quit Google Drive.
  3. Drag Google Drive from /Applications to trash.
  4. Remove Google Drive from Preferences > Users & Groups > Startup Items.

Wait a while and see what happens. This fixed the problem for me. (You can restart "just to be sure" but it didn't seem to be necessary in my case).
