Select to sync them on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings. Once synced, they will appear in a playlist call Voice Memos on the left sidebar. Alternatively you can email them by tapping on the voice memo, then tap Share at the bottom.

"Recently Added" is s smart playlist and you cannot manage (delete or change) anything from within that playlist. You should be able to switch to your *music* library and search for the memos in question and find them there. This is where you can edit or delete them.

You can also create your own "Voice Memos" smart playlist if you do not have one now. You should be able to google how to create a smart playlist for voice memos. It involves the creation of a smart playlist to pick up the genre "voice memo."

I was able to resolve this issue by trying something that no one suggested.

When I hooked up my phone to iTunes, I right clicked on the iPhone tab (left menu) and it offered me several options, one of which is to Sync. After I did this rather than the big Sync button on the bottom right corner, it synced every single one of my voice memos (even the long ones which were over an hour long). It's also the tab that has the back up which is super important if you want your data saved if something goes wrong with your phone. It's very handy to do both these regularly.

Hope that helps anyone having the issue of long memo's not saving. It saved me.

Hi there,

I'm having trouble with my voice memos too. Up until yesterday they were working fine and now, even though the record button works, the stop button does not and I can only pause them. Worse again is that the button to go into the menu to view all voice memos is not working so I can't play them from my iPhone and nothing new is saving to my iTunes. Please help!

There seems to be a problem physically syncing if you are using iCloud to backup and update notes, apps, address book etc. My phone no longer syncs if physically plugged in, so I can't get the hundreds of voice notes, short or long, that I create over the course of every couple of months off of the phone. I've tried to change the update method but no luck so far. And to email all the files to myself is impractical. Does anyone have a work-around for this issue to physically transfer the files to my computer for archiving and organization? Appreciate any help anyone can give.

My ipod was originally synced with another computer (that I don't have access to) and I'm trying to now download voice memos from the ipod to my computer. I am using the manually manage music and videos so I can add music without erasing everything from the ipod, but the voice memos are not syncing onto my computer. If I sync the music (by going to the music tab in itunes when my ipod is connected to my computer) will the voice memos be erased off the ipod too? How can I get them onto the computer?

If none of the stated options work, you can also try to reset your iTunes sync history by going to the icon looking like a cogwheel on the bottom left or by going to

Windows: Edit, prefrences, devices....and under the device backup box there should be an option allowing you to reset sync history

Mac: iTunes, prefrences, devices........

Hello, I'm having having trouble syncing my voice memos with iTunes but in a oppsite way. I mean, I upload my voice memos to iTunes just fine but it won't dowload back to my iPhone more that 30 audio recordings... Why?

I record a lot of voice memos recordings for scratch ideas so i keep a pretty big playlist of voice memos that I organice on iTunes. For me is very useful because with this application every time I sync my iPhone the recordings appear on iTunes. But when it comes to get them back on my phone it won't get downloaded more than 30 recordings. Even when that playlist has hundreds of voice memos.

Is not that I am out of space at all... this are very tiny pieces of audio. Still have more than 9Gb empty.

Could somebody help me with this weird issue?

I have not upgraded my phone to IOS7 yet... may be this could make a difference...

Thanks

Not ideal, but what i did to sort the problem was go where the voice memos were residing on my PC.

Somewhere like C drive/users/(my account)/music/itunes media/voice memos.

I then copied the whole file to my docs folder. Went into each voice memo and re-named it what ever it should be called.

Then went into itunes and imported the folder and made it a playlist in my music.

I now have my 300 odd voice memos, but in my music as a play list.
