When you've done a document and want to save it, go to "File" at the Toolbar at the top and click on "Save As" in the drop-down listing. It'll ask you to name the document (if you want to do so) and where you want it saved. Once you've saved a document, you can make changes and then go to "File" and click on "Save".
There is no 'save as' in Lion apparently.
There's something called 'versions'. I'm not using Lion, but I daresay the Help menu in Pages will enlighten you.
Lion has eliminated the Save As…
After you have saved the first time, Lion will auto-save versions of the file, which you can revert to, if need be.
To get the equivalent of Save As… you will need to:
Menu > File > Duplicate > Save

T'his failed to solve my problem. There is no "save" in Lion.
I never have gotten the mindset of these companies, adobe, wnidows, apple, etc. who make a program one way, get everone used to it and then they upgrade it to work completely differntly yet accomplishing the same thing. Stupid.
Thank you and that is awesome to not have to have a whole other window open so you can "save as". Still...
Thank you Peter
Easy enough 😎
