i jus purchsed an iphone 3g the other day n im tryin to update it on itunes on my windows computer it supposivly completed the update but restore the software or firmware it keeps sayin theres an erroe that occured i cant even turn it on to use the phone. ive tried everything from restarting my computer to updating itunes. HELP??? PLEASE

Amazon is NOT an authorized distributor for iPhones. It has become a clearing-house for shady 3rd party sellers. The phone you got was not "new in box". It was hacked/jailbroken. The 3G has not been sold in almost 2 years. Try to return it and get your money back if you can, then buy one from a legitimate source (directly from Apple or from a supported carrier).
