Where are my iBook books and pdfs?

I got the new iPad. I do not manage to get back any of my my books and pdf files onto the iBook app. I synched my new iPad with the backup of the old one, all the apps are OK. But there is noting in iBooks. I tried for switch on and off both iPad and my MacBook Pro, no results. Please help.

If they aren't on your computer then you should be able to copy the ibooks and PDFs from your old iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, and you can then sync them to the new iPad - also as long as they are still available on the store then ibooks can be re-downloaded for free in the iBooks app and/or on your computer.
