I am having the same problem. Only happens in videos that have a lot of comments. Is this a known issue or something I should worry about? It is reproducible and happens every time on the vids that it happens on.
Weird. Have you tried different videos? It seems to happen constantly on the batman trailer on the front page of the featured section for example.
Same thing happens with my iPad 3. Quite a recent problem.
I am having this exact same problem. And whats funny is that it started yesterday when I was trying to watch the new Batman trailer too. Now it has been doing this almost every single time. I have tried restarting my ipad 2 and it still continues doing this. The only way to watch the videos without a crash is by not clicking on the comments tab, but this ***** because I wanna comment!!
How about this.
I retired many of my videos on ALL of my apple devices ( except my Mac ) and they all did this crash.
Guys... I believe this is something wrong with YouTube or apple.
So far, I think it's a comment problem for loading comments on YouTube, and it's not apples problem, it's the YouTube dev's. But my solution is this:
Use safari until the problem is resulved.
It works just as well as YouTube used to.
And also it could take possibly a day for YouTube to notice so you might have not choice but to just use safari.
( this problem could possibly be worldwide )
Strangely, when I woke up from sleeping, I clicked on "comments" at the same youtube video where the youtube app crashed, and my youtube app DID NOT crash. I find it very strange.
Yup. Works again for me too. Must've bee something on youtubes side like Alexander said. Thanks guys.
I'm having the same problem right now ~.~
