Can't export or share in Final Cut Pro X

Hi. Brand new to FCPX, this is my first project. I imported a project from iMovie, finished editing it in FCPX, and wanted to export/share it. The menu is completely grayed-out, and the keyboard command (Command-E) does nothing. What am I missing?

I am new with FCP 10.1.3 and have a trouble with exporting files. I am editing a multi cam project which is shot with Sony PMW F3, Sony A7s, Sony EX1 and Nikon D700.

When I press the master file export option or any other option then it appears. "Pre wedding" has missing or offline titles, effects or generators and then This item cannot be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera.

and after pressing continue.

I also trying edit multi cam footage which is not working.

Please help me.

Hey Tom,

I just completed a Project in Final Cut Pro 10.3 and I cannot export it to Master File or anywhere else. When I click share my options pull up like Master File, Facebook, YouTube, and etc., when I select either one, absolutely nothing happens. Please advise as I am up against a timeline and need to share this project.

There is no 10.3 yet.

Or do you mean 10.0.3? If that is the case, then it is more than 3 years old and not compatible with Mavericks, let alone Yosemite...

I presume you meant 10.2. If so, the very first thing to try is deleting preferences: hold down command and option while starting the application and confirm when the dialog comes up.

Tom, I'm hoping that you can help.

I was able to share a video through Final Cut X and now cannot share it. It's just staying on "Transcoding" and "Sharing" for hours without leaving 0%. I have been able to share this project previously, but now it's freezing the program when I go to play it back and will not share again. Please let me know if you can help!

Can not burn to Blu-ray disc either, ever since updated to Yosemite and Final Cut Pro X Version 10.2.1. It kept ejecting any new blank Blu-ray discs!!!!!!!!!

It worked very well before. I successfully made two Blu-ray discs with my trip slide shows. At that time I had Toaster 11. Could that be the reason?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Tom,

Final Cut Pro X 10.2.1 along with Yosemite now won't burn to Blu-ray disc. Yesterday it stuck at 85% sharing for over 6 hours. I had to force to quit.

Today it kept on asking for blank disc. I tried different brand and still no luck. It stuck at 66% sharing.

Before updating of OS X to Yosemite and Final Cut Pro X I was able to create two Blu-ray discs with slide shows . Ever since update to Yosemite, my blu-ray burner does not work on this Mac.

Can you help please?

Sincerely,

Sharon

Hi, Russ,

Thank you for your kindness to help me.

I can share to hard drive master file, ISO file, .mov file... and also burn to DVD with no problem However, Mac Yosemite just does not recognize Blu-ray discs.

I tried to use Mac utility BURN, it kept telling me WAITING FOR DISC TO BE INSERTED while there was a brand new blank Blu-ray 25GB in side. Please see the screen shot for it.

I tried Leawo Blu-ray Creator and ExpressBurn, both claimed to be compatible with Mac Yosemite. However, none of them can recognize blu-ray discs.

I hope Final Cut Pro X can work with OS X Yosemite to solve the problem,.

Other than that, maybe you have other suggestions.

User uploaded file think the problem is with Mac OS X Yosemite.

Best Regards,

Sharon

Hi, Tom,

I think Mac Yosemite is to blame for not able to recognize blu-ray discs while BURN.

I tried to SHARE to hard drive master file, ISO, .mov...and burn to DVD no problem. However, when it comes to BURN BLU-RAY DISC, it kept telling me there was no blu-ray disc inside while I had brand new blank 25 GB disc inside. I tried to use Mac Utility to BURN, it told me the same thing. Please see the screen shot.

I tried Leawo Blu-ray Creator and ExpressBurn, both told me no writable disc inside while I had brand new blank blu-ray 25GB disc inside.

I was able to burn two travel slide shows on blu-ray discs using Final Cut Pro X before Mac OS X Yosemite.

What do you think?
