My MacBook Air keeps switching between desktop and full screen apps by itself without me doing the 4-fingered swipe. I've tried quitting various apps and restarting the laptop but to no avail. Help?

My 11" MacBook Air recently just started randomly switching from full screen apps back to the desktop by itself without me using the 4-fingered swipe to change desktops/apps. I've tried quitting (almost) every app and no matter what app is left open, it keeps sliding from the full screen app back to the desktop. I've rebooted the laptop a good three times and it's also been fully shut down and turned back on twice and it still keeps switching. Help?

I also have a 2012 Air and it just started doing the same thing tonight. I did the google Drive sync unchecked thing and it is fine now. Why this is happenening I don't know, especially since I have had Drive set to sync for a yr now. Must be how it relates to new Mavericks OS

Macbook Pro Late 2011 Running Mavericks. I had this exact problem. As noted by others, I unchecked "show file sync status" in Google Drive Preferences and it solved it for me. My guess is Google Drive updated in a way that was incompatible with Mavericks and Apple and Google will have to figure out who needs to patch the problem.

I'm having the same issue with a 13 inch MacBook Pro on OS X Mavericks. The problam started today and where I also noticed a "sevice battery" message when clicking the battery indicator. Can these two issues be related?

"GOOGLE DRIVE, GOOGLE DRIVE,GOOGLE DRIVE, GOOGLE DRIVE,GOOGLE DRIVE, GOOGLE DRIVE,GOOGLE DRIVE, GOOGLE DRIVE!!!" ALL I HEAR IS GOOGLE DRIVE. NO ONE IS OFFERING ANY REAL ASSISTANCE WITH THIS ISSUE. I DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT.... HAVE GOOGLE DRIVE, AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING TO ME FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. AND NO ONE, HAS FIGURED OUT THE WHY, OR HOW TO STOP THIS VERY ANNOYING ISSUE. ITS AMAZING TO ME THAT WE LIVE IN 2014, ALL THESE SUPER HI TECH PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT CAN CREATE INSANE COMPUTER VIRUS' BUT THEY CANNOT HELP THE EVERYDAY USER FIX ONE STUPID PROBLEM. THE PRICE YOU HAVE TO PAY, I GUESS, FOR LIVING IN THE MODERN WORLD, AND HAVING ONE OF THESE NECESSARY/EVIL DEVICES. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MAC, AND ALL THEIR PRODUCTS.

This is happening to me. I uninstalled Google Drive long ago. What else could cause this?

I also have random touches occurring. Cursor will jump somewhere else. I thought it was oversensitive track pad on new MacBook Pro, but I turned off tap to click and it still happens. I've seen the cursor move when I wasn't even near the trackpad.
