May 3, 2012 4:45 PM in response to IPBrianby IPBrian,★HelpfulAs a side note, when viewing the source code of the email I find that...
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
Anyone know how to display these properly in Mail on the Mac? It renders properly on iphone and ipad.

May 4, 2012 5:04 AM in response to Linc Davisby IPBrian,Hey Linc, thanks for the reply! That seems to be checked by default. Perhaps I need to add not every email has this problem. It is only a few that end up rendering like this. I end up looking at what should be a pretty email with something like below. It appears to be a problem displaying multi-port MIME formated emails, though I have not isolated that for sure. I have also considered emailing the company and see if they have heard complaints from their Apple users. It isnt just Nik Software, a few other emails show up like this as well, not rendering properly. Nik just happens to be the example I have.

May 4, 2012 7:19 AM in response to IPBrianby Linc Davis,I tried to load one of those pages. It crashed the Web Content process immediately, and I gave up after about a minute. Those are crap links.

May 5, 2012 7:02 AM in response to IPBrianby IPBrian,The links are fine and not the point....The problem is why is OSX Mail not formating the email correctly. I got an email from Amazon Deal of the Day...same problem. On iPhone it looks correct, on OSX Mail, it is just text. Not every email does this...just a few. Does anyone know why this might happen?

May 5, 2012 8:38 AM in response to IPBrianby Linc Davis,Back up all data if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to the state it’s in now.
Quit the application if it's running.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, copy the text on the line below into the box that opens, and press return:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Move the selected file in the Finder window that opens to the Desktop, leaving the window open for now.
Launch the application and test. Your settings will be lost. If you still have the issue, quit the application, put the file you moved to the Desktop back where it came from, and post again. Otherwise, delete the file on the Desktop and recreate your settings.

Aug 28, 2012 2:26 PM in response to Linc Davisby Stultitia,I think I have the same problem with the OP, and this didn't solve my problem.
My problem is: Some mail, sometimes, from some senders seem like corrupt (or show only as plain text) only on my MBP Mail app. When I rebuild, the problem usually dissappears and the mails are rendered correctly. But, the next time I sync, some new mail, 1% maybe, again doesn't display properly.
Thanks in advance for any solutions.

Apr 15, 2013 12:55 PM in response to IPBrianby JPurll,I have the same problem, too.
It is seemlingly inconsistent, same sender will send html, sometimes will come through, sometimes not. If I look at my e-mail provider's website, the html is consistently present, even on the ones that are not presenting in html.
If, through my e-mail provider's website, I move an html e-mail to a folder, that e-mail stays html in my Mac Mail folder (e-mail is imap'd).
Anyone?

Jun 1, 2013 1:34 PM in response to IPBrianby ricfor,I have the same problem. As no one has submitted a reply in a couple of months I wonder if anyone has a solution. I have to go to my Yahoo mail account to read the messages in question so the problem is in apple mail.
