"Error 11222"

Apple is investigating reports of this issue. Proxies, certificate issues, or your Internet service provider may be the cause of this issue.

To address proxies and some certificate issues:

Windows:

Open Internet Explorer.

From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.

Click Connections.

Under "Dial-up and Virtual Private Networking," choose "Never dial a connection." It may not be possible to choose this if youโ€™ve never used dial-up Internet. If this is the case, skip to the next step.

Click LAN Settings.

In the window that opens, enable the option to "Automatically detect settings" if it is not enabled.

iTunes uses Internet Options proxy settings. Apple recommends removing proxy settings that interfere with access to the iTunes Store if needed.

Click OK.

Click the Advanced tab.

Scroll down to the Security section and look for the option to "Check for server certificate revocation." If it is enabled, disable it.

Look for "Use SSL 3.0" and "Use TLS 1.0." Make sure at least one of those two checkboxes is selected and click OK. (You can select both checkboxes).

Apply any changes and then restart your computer if you modified the option to "Check for server certificate revocation" in step 11.

If the issue is with a proxy you are unable to remove, contact the technical staff who support your computer or network, or try another computer or network.

If that does not resolve the issue, follow steps in iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.

Mannnn!!!!!!!!!! you are awesome. I have been struggling for this crap for a year almost.

The problem first occured when I had installed some software on my machine and then saw many issues so i removed it. and yet could not have the itunes working in addition to my Outlook.

I havent backedup my phone for a year now even when i changed my phone. thanks to the icloud.

I tried downgrading itunes. reinstalling, repairing and even uninstalling totally and cleaning the registry. Not being good at IT i still came to a conclusion that it had something to do with the sockets and ports but dint know what to do. The only thing remaining was that I format my machine. Which is totally not worth it.

Found and tried all ****** posts by other bloggers but nothing had worked until this one. **** frustrating it was.

"NETSH WINSOCK RESET"

THIS REALLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
