How long does it really take to get a book into the ibookstore?

Hello All,

I delivered my epub to Apple on March 26th and for the first 34 days my books status had a single red icon, book in review for quality assurance. I continued to wait and last week to my horror, I had two red icons, with a new message of Unknown Issue. It has now been 43 days since I delivered my Ebup which had no problems or errors noted when it uploaded. Ironically, the book is on Amazon and Barnes and Noble which both took less than 48 hours from delivery to being available for sale (and it is selling).

Lastly, (can you sense my frustrated ?) my book is a positive story about my 26 year friendship with Steve Jobs who in 1984 sent me the first Imac 128K with a note to "Be part of the future". Surely you've seen some of the on-going threads on this topic?

Once my book is uploaded, how long before it appears in iTunes?

As far as suggestions go...be patient.

Those red icons might mean there is a ticket to read and respond to. You may need to make some revisions in response to the ticket and re-upload. Patience may not be the answer in this case.

My first thought was to check and see if there were any tickets that explain some issue in need of fixing. No tickets have been filed ! It's hard to imagaine that it would take more than 40 days to review a 38 page book for quality assurance. When my Epub file is uploaded into my Ipad library, all Ibook functions were as expected such as search, font scaling, video, page curl, etc... In any case, thanks for taking the time to offer a suggestion.
