iOS 5.1.1 have batery loss

I have batery drain with the update to ios 5.1.1. I just take the cell of the lock screen and do nothing, and in seconds (300 seconds) i see going from 24% to 9%.

What's going on? I think updates are to solve problems, not get new ones!!!

iPhone 4S, Mac OS X (10.7.3), iOS 5.1.1

After the update I can't go on safari without it closing before it even finishes opening, I can't save any pictures (all blank), I can't use ANY apps for more then 3-4 minutes before it force closes (no matter which one), I have maybe an hour of battery life and i feel like I'm troubleshooting more then its worth for the I-Pod. Is there a way to go back before the update? It at least worked properly before the update and I feel like the last two updates went for nothing with this new one which makes the I-Pod unuseable. (unless you stay on your home screen) I need something to listen to music with but with my I-Pod out of commission until the new IOS I need a method to make it at least able to use apps or I have to buy a cheap Mp3 player. Help please? Please fix Apple!!!
