Aw boo. Is there somewhere I can download it?
No. If you want it, you need fo find and buy an iLife 09 or 11 DVD.

Ok, thanks.
yes i bought the OSX Lion Macbook back in Nov 11. it came WITH Iweb, i deigned a website and now it is ALL gone.
I just upgraded to 10.7.4.
I CANT BELIEVE APPLE DOES TRICKS LIKE THAT THAT IS SO EF'D UP: I spent a lot of time and effort creating the website. and now, gone!
If you still have your MacBook, then copy iWeb from there.
Besides that, iWeb just does not disappear. So check a backup.
Did the Macbook come with Lion pre-installed or did you upgrade to Lion later? Do you have the system install disks that came with the Macbook? If you do it probably has an install package for installing the bundled software, which will include iWeb. It will look something like one of these:
You can launch that installer package and do a custom install of just iWeb.
Copying iWeb as Wyodor mentioned is an easier and quicker way but if you have those disks you'll always be able to reinstall iWeb anytime.

hey guys I appreciate all your feedback. I bought the MacBook with Lion in it. So I do not have any discs. I used spotlight to search for iweb and then in the app folder too and nothing.
Thankfulluy I found a backup in my old leopard MacBook which I still keep around and which had the website and Iweb.
Talk about greed, Apple. You give it away for free and on a later version you take it back and try to charge for it.
I guess that's rotten capitalism for ya.
Once again I thank you all for your help, sorry for the bother.

p.s: @Wyodor: How do I -or is it possible to- copy the Iweb from Leopard into my new Lion Macbook?
Apple has discontinued iWeb (and iDVD) and is not selling it any more.
To get iWeb from your old Mac to the new one just copy it on a flash drive, CD or connect the two computers together via a LAN or with a Firewire cable in Target Disk Mode, Transferring files between two computers using FireWire, and copy it from the old to the new.
Thanks I thought they were selling it as a bundle with Ilife.
Ok, thanks for the tip in connecting 2 macbooks. I tried to look up wich firewire software I have on the OS10.6 but it just says 400 mb/s max. Any idea where I could dig out that info?
There's no software to worry about. Just get a FW cable what will connect between the two Macs and then follow the direcdtions in the link I provided.
You bought Macs.
You might as well use the technology.
You have a network : use it!
First picture :
on life 11 there is no iweb!
