I have 2.3Go on the "other" space of my iPhone 4s.
I've seen other posts on this forum on this issue. Has they tells, I've restore my iPhone from itunes and it's not working.
Do you know what's going on and what to do?

Restore as new not using backup.
After restore as new "other" is 0,56Go.

HI - would "restore" mean that loosing all installed applications and data?
I am using Iphone4 for corporate email (exchange) therefore bit reluctant to loose it all..

Yes.
Restoring and setting up as new will delete all the data and applications on your iPhone and bring it to factory default settings.
This is a totally unacceptable work around. Apple needs to find a fix for this.

I have been facing the same issue and found a solution that does not require a full restore!
Its seems to be related with the music synchronization mechanism

It knocked off 2 GB from my "Other" section!!!!!
I couldn't do the 'restore back up' because I was already over my storage. So...I went into Messages, scrolled allll the way down to the first text message in my phone (2 years ago) and just started deleting. Took me about 45 min to delete a couple thousand texts, but it freed almost 2 gigs!
