Depening if the device is compatible with iPhones/iPads/iPods I've seen a variable of Instances where it does what your experiencing
Personally I'd Connect Via Usb to Charge in a car, then Connect a Aux in the headphone jack to the stereo
Yes you can as long as the iPhone is plugged in to a charger and the audio cable.

I tried it with my cable, but as soon as I connect the USB charger, the music stops. Sorry to be dense, but this is new to me. 😕
