Fdisk is a Windows utility. Mac has it's own Disk utility in the Utilities folder in the Apps Directory.

To repair your disk you need to be booted from another disk or the Recovery partition. Hold both the Command key and the R key down at the startup tone and you should enter the Recovery partition. Once there use utilities to access the disk utility.

Run Disk Utility in your Applications/utilities folder. It contains all the functionality you need to repair a disk, insofar as what is included with OS X.

If you want to do anyhing to your startup drive, then you have to run Disk Utility from another drive. In Lion, you use the Recovery Partition (boot to it by holding down the OPTION key right when you hear the starup chime, and slect the Recovery partition form the list of bootable drives).

Once booted to the Recovery Partition, select Disk Utility. Then select your startup drive, and run "Repair Permissions" and/or "Repair Disk".
