I just got an iPhone 4s - it comes with the Nike Plus app. When I open the app, it asks me to walk around to activate the sensor. It never moves beyond this screen, even if I walk for quite a while. What's the problem and how can I fix it? I've tried resetting Nike Plus, resetting all setting, turning the phone on and off, and trying it without the protective case on.

Christ! I hoped someone had an answer. I have the iphone 4s, with the Nike+ GPS. Before you ask, THERE IS NO SENSOR REQUIRED for the GPS version. Like the original poster, I made sure it is on in settings. Then went back to the app, hit "Basic" which brings up music playlist choices. Once you choose a playlist, the dreaded, "walk around to activate your sensor" phrase is uttered. I ran ten blocks, NOTHING! I closed out the app, repeated the above steps, then walked for 15 minutes, STILL NOTHING!.
What's the deal with this app? I see all these ratings and functionality, and want to get in on the fun. Anybody?
Okay, twice this site has been posted as a means of responding to the question. There is nothing in the site about setting up the app., or troubleshooting it.
Had same problem. I think for the sensor to work blue tooth must be on. This solved my problem
