Yes, by "deselecting", the quicktime player performed without any errors. Now I've realized that I filmed several videos with the camera sideways. I can rotate the still pix but cannot rotate the videos. Now I know.

Do you have QuickTime Pro or just the standard QuickTime Player, Alan?
