Hi Fin

I didn't noticed this behaviour but to be sure I unistalled my image and restarted the computer then gray background as expected.

Once again I run loginox and installed my image and restarted my mbp and then no issue my login screen appears with my own image behind as expected.

So at the moment looks OK

My image is as indicated for changing the login screen background in 10.7.3 a png fileof the size of my screen (in my case 1440 X 900)

Cheers

Problem solved - Loginox expects to find the file:

/System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/Resources/NSTexturedFullS creenBackgroundColor.png

even though with 10.7.4 this is no longer used - for some odd reason mine was gone (probably me fiddling last night). I copied a png file to this location and renamed it to 'NSTexturedFullScreenBackgroundColor.png' and Loginox began working again. I have now succesfully changed my login screen using this app.

Thanks to all who've posted the very helpful and detailed information surrounding this issue. I've learned a lot!

Cheers,

Fin.

Hi all

Just a point I noticed tis morning when I open my mbp even if it's working well I have a small issue as since yesterday I have connected to my mbp an external screen.

As my login screen background size is equal to my mbp size (ie 1440 x 900) on my external larger screen the login screen background image don't fit correctly inside the screen and is repeated several times.

I am going to change the size of the background size to a larger's one and will see if it's still working
