MSN.com Free Video Content & New iBook
I'm helping a brand new switcher with her brand new 12" iBook G4. She had previously (on her PC) been a heavy user of the MSN.com main page as well as the free video content pages. She is now having trouble making the free video content play. She always gets an error saying she needs Internet Explorer and Real (or Flash?) Player. I have not installed these on her new iBook but I've tried the page on my PowerBook (which has Real Player, Flash Player, most updated QuickTime Pro, Flip4Mac WMV) using Safari (as she is) and I'm having no luck either. I also tried the Debug menu in Safari to get change the User Agent to Windows MSIE 6.0 without any luck.
When hitting the page with straight up Safari I get this error:
This product requires Microsoft© Internet Explorer 6, Microsoft© Media Player 10, and Macromedia Flash 7. To download these free software applications, click the links below and follow the on-screen instructions.
When hitting the page with Debug to Windows MSIE 6.0 selected I get this error:
This product requires Microsoft© Internet Explorer 6, Microsoft© Media Player 10, and Macromedia Flash 7. To download these free software applications, click the links below and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 1: Download Microsoft Windows Media© Player
Windows Media Player 10 is free to download
Step 2: Download Macromedia Flash Player 7
Macromedia Flash player is free to download
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
