ipod set to shuffle

The songs are from all different location, they are all compressed, they all have played on my previous ipod no problem, my hole database has been gone through correcting tags and removing corrupt or damaged files.

I am not so sure this is a skiping issue the song stops playing not play,skip,play

i have now descoverd that the song dose not stop plaing at the time the sound stops, viewing the play back shows the song still playing. I have checked the songs tag info to compare to accutal lenght in a wave editor and it is correct

As far as the repeating songs before finnishing this my still be happing but need more testing

If going to a song and playing it, then going back to playlist and selecting shuffel again resets the play count then i have interupted my test, if not then they are repeating before finnishing.

dose anyone know how shuffel determines which songs have been played and which have not

It is confermed the play list from itunes repeats songs before playing the full playlist at least once.

I have also found that the songs that are going silent before finishing are all mp4 format maybe they are the songs getting repeated prior to playing the full list
