Hi, I need to know if my Mid-2009 MacBook Pro(no configurations) can use Final Cut X? I'm planning to get a Samsung SpinPoint M8 5400RPM 1TB HDD for my MacBook Pro and 2x 4GB of RAM, will it work if I don't upgrade? And will it work if I upgrade?

If you create your projects and events on the external HD it will save everything there.
It will also show you that the events and projects are saved there if you look in the Event Library and the Project Library.

Yes. It's listed in the system requirements.
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X v10.7.2 or later (OS X v10.7.2 or later for broadcast monitoring).
I would like to ask what is broadcast monitoring?
Using a high resolution separate broadcast television monitor, not a computer monitor.
