Since 5.1.1 problem with bluetooth and partly with WIFI

Since the installation of ios 5.1.1. my iphone 4s can connect neither to my motorola bluetooth headset nor to my canon WIFI printer. Someone here who made the same experience? Is it a bug and eventually already known by Apple IT?

Eagle-1's solution worked on my 3GS for this problem of Bluetooth cut out. Since it's such an easy fix, I'd recommend trying it before anything else. I set up a new iMac about the same time as the 5.1.1 glitch became apparent, so at first I thought they might be connected. Dunno when I first updated the iOS, but it only started acting up with the Lion upgrade on my new iMac 27" i7 3.4. Could there be a connection? In any case, just wanted to emphasize that for me, going to my iPhone's settings and clicking on General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, and having the phone reset its network settings worked...so far, anyway! I haven't gotten to the point where I've had to reset the WiFi password or done anything else -- maybe that will set it off again, but for now I can listen to my podcast and work in the garden without the annoyance of having it cutting in and out. Thanks, Eagle-1!

Guys,

This seems like a very odd issue since some of us are able to connect to devices that others cannot (eg I can connect to the Jawbone Jambox (Big One) fine).

I also tried the 'Network Settings Reset' but it did no good.

My problem is with a handheld Bluetooth headset called by Native Union called the Moshi MM03i. Here is my story:

I've had my MM03i for awhile and loved using it with my iPhone 4 (IOS 5.0.1), however, I just got a new iPhone 4S (5.1.1), and I cannot pair the new phone. (also, when I updated my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1, it won't pair now either).

When I attempt to pair, the MM03i will radomly switch off before the 4S is done pairing so I get the error "Pairing Unsuccessful. Make sure 'MM03' is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair."

In a nutshell I do the following:

1 Go into Bluetooth on 4S so it is discoverable
2 Hold down Multi-fuction button on MM03i to put it in pairing mode
3 Press 'MM03 Not Paired' device on 4S
4 After a minute, the MM03i stops flashing red/blue and turns off

I get the error on iPhone that states "Pairing Unsuccessful. Make sure 'MM03' is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair."

I've also tried to delete the current phone pairings on the MM03i by putting it in the cradle and holding the multi-function button for 5 seconds, and I followed your instructions to attempt to clear the paired list but "Vol-" button does nothing.

It seems like this is a definately an ISO 5.1.1 issue.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi Folks,

Gee the Apple storm troopers will shoot your post down if you diss them about there flawed operating system. I have returned and gotten a credit card company to charge back these folks for the simple reason they sold me a product that stopped working as advertised. I suggest everyone that is able do the same. Apple is not releasing tech new iOS till November, but if you are a commercial customer they will give you the beta iOS to keep your business, beet they pull this post within minutes too. I was paying them for over 6 months for 4 devices, $400 + but I guess they just do not need money or something. At&T lost my account, apple lost me as a customer, I and my family members will never ever do business with them again simply because they have forgotten the little guy and yes I am stating fact not just a busy body making complaints I can't back up. Try posting the truth here and see what they do...Good luck every one!

I have two iPhones (4 running on iOS 4.x and 4S running on 5.1.1). I have just started using the 4S and ran into this issue, it won't pair with any bluetooth devices I have, not even with the iPnone 4. It is reidiculous that Apple simple does not care about it and keep throwing us at othe rocmpanies asing for support on their devices that do work and are compatible with anyone else.

Before complaining about Apple's stupid phones, I carefully tested all my bt devices connecting them to each other. I have devices manufactured by Dell, Sony, Samsung, LG, etc, everything works as expected but Apple's. What else do we need to do in order to get some respect from Apple?

Same thing with the battery on the 4S, is gets depleted in half the way as compared to the older iPhone 4, simply ridiculous.

Apple, make your products work instead of spending money on fancy TV campaigns!!!
