using pocket PC with imac G5

hey guys

i got an imac G5 & i own a HP ipaq pocket PC (2210 model) running pocket PC 2003 w/outlook 2002 and i know there is software available (mark/space missing sync i think is the name) to let me use this device with my imac, is this correct?
what i would like to know is that my pocket PC has files installed on it, which have been sync'ed with my windows based laptop, can i transfer/save these files onto my imac so i dont have to re-enter all my documents/address's etc or do i have to wipe the slate clean (i.e delete) & start over please?
does anyone have any experience with using pocket PC on windows then moving over to mac please?

many thanks

BM

Hi, BM.

I don't use a PocketPC, but have researched this area a bit. Here are some thoughts:

1. re: using PocketPC with Mac OS X: there are solutions from Mark/Space ( Missing Sync for Windows Mobile) and PocketMac. Check the System Requirements carefully for compatibility with your PocketPC and the software on your Mac.

2. You should be able to. Much depends, for example, on the versions of software involved on both your PocketPC and your Mac, e.g. version of Entourage w.r.t. address book.

3. You may want to spend some time reading, searching, or posting questions to the Forums at Pocket PC Thoughts. For example, this post. They even have an HP iPaq Forum.

Good luck!
